The UFC’s inaugural welterweight champion, Pat Miletich, is returning to mixed martial arts after a 15 year break to fight Mike Jackson, a fighter best known for beating CM Punk.

The bout will see Miletich, 55, take on Jackson, 38, in fully sanctioned pro MMA under the Caged Aggression banner with three five minute rounds, MMA Junkie reported.

Promotion for the fight focuses on a battle of “skill, age and ideology,” linked by the pair’s falling out over political differences.

The UFC hall of famer posted photos on social media in January 2021 showing he was in the crowd when supporters of then-president Donald Trump stormed the U.S. Capitol.

Jackson later criticized Miletich, who served as Jackson’s cornerman during Jackson’s his with CM Punk, calling the former champion a “f*cking Nazi piece of sh*t.”

“Pat Miletich, please, let’s kickbox, dude. ‘Cause I don’t want the motherf*cker to hold me and sh*t in MMA. I don’t want to deal with all that, even though I still (know) I could wash Pat Miletich in MMA,” Jackson told the outlet.

Caged Aggression promoter Mike Goodwin announced the bout will take place Oct. 14 in Davenport, Iowa.
